Top 7 Themes That Motivate/Drive Self-Recovery (From Studies On Natural Recovery)
1-The perception of an impending/existing severe & incapacitating loss-high anxiety produced by persistent fears.
2-The strong desire to take charge of one's life-feelings of empowerment over one's behavior/environment.
3-A history of less frequent drug use and lower frequencies of intoxication.
4-A stable family life & determination to be a role model for one's children.
5-Lower levels of avoidant coping & having higher self-esteem.
6-A greater satisfaction in work & occupational employment.
7-Little to no social/peer pressure to change/quit drinking.
Regarding Alcoholics Anonymous
We're not against Alcoholics Anonymous, we even include the 12-step programs on our website. We don't believe in
AA bashing nor do we believe AA members should claim their program 'works if you work it' knowing all the research prove
otherwise. Any recovery program can help individually unique addicts to varying degrees. We strongly believe what worked
for one person may not work for someone else & forcing addicts into a recovery program they feel uncomfortable with is
legally & morally wrong. We're against forced AA & denying addicts informed consent & a choice in recovery programs. We
believe promoting an unproven disease is encouraging addicts to avoid taking responsibility & leading addicts to believe a
full recovery isn't possible for them. We're about exposing the hidden facts and giving addicts truly helpful alternatives
in recovery programs. We promote CHOICE, self-empowerment, personal responsibility, & life beyond addiction.

Choice based recovery defines addiction as irresponsible choices that addicts themselves take responsibility for and learn to correct.
-Recovery by choice is personal responsibility and what God intended recovery to be and results in a full recovery.
Disease based recovery defines addiction as an incurable disease that requires dependence on others to achieve & maintain sobriety.
-Recovery by disease is a life-long process than never ends in ever being fully recovered, but instead ends with death.

Evidence Supporting CHOICE (Behavioral Choice/Life Process Model of Addiction)
Fact: Alcoholics will stop taking anti-abuse days before a drinking binge.
Fact: Alcoholics will go days without drinking multiple times during any given month.
Fact: Alcoholics plan, organize, generate income, and make choices before & during a drinking binge.
Fact: Alcoholics drink to achieve a desired state of intoxication-learned behavior from past experience.
Fact: Alcoholics who didn't know they were consuming alcohol drank the same amount as non-alcoholics.
Fact: The majority of addicts placed on probation control their drug use to avoid jail time-Court-ordered UA's.
Fact: It's impossible to get intoxicated without making a conscious decision to take a drink and/or use drugs.
Alcoholism/Disease Means An Involuntary Disability
When addicts are lead to believe they have the 'disease' of addiction (alcoholism) they become incapable or unwilling
to take full responsibility for their own poor choices. Addicts who claim they have a 'disease' are denying the fact their
drug use was their own choice, just like it was all along the road to addiction. To say it wasn't a choice would be a lie.
Involuntary means 'not by one's own choice' 'occurring without volition' and disability means 'the state or condition of
being disabled'. Addicts avoid taking responsibility and blame a disease for making decisions for them (victims of their
own poor choices) & never fully recover OR they take responsibility for their own poor choices & defeat their addiction
& move on with their lives. Addicts can and they do control their behavior when they decide they are ready and willing to.
Courts: Give addicts a choice in recovery programs
Let's stop wasting taxpayers money on treatment programs that didn't work. If A.A. didn't work the first time, why do we
think it'll work the second time, or third time, or fourth time, or fifth time? While failing diseased based treatment lobbyist's
control the legislators and continue their promotion of harmful beliefs there truly is hope beyond all the deception. On
this website you will find valuable choice based recovery programs that have proven effectiveness in helping addicts
with their addiction problems. Unlike the diseased based ones which are quickly proven ineffective in helping addicts
in a successful recovery. We encourage you to start a choice based recovery program within your community today.
Brief Interventions-Most Effective In Helping Addicts
Brief interventions are one of the most effective forms of treatment for alcohol & drug addiction. They have consistently
been found to be just as effective if not more effective than expensive inpatient and/or outpatient treatment programs.
Brief interventions can include motivation to quit by family members, primary care givers recommendation to cut down
on drinking, or a short counseling session from a therapist. Brief interventions are cost effective & one of the best ways
of helping a person with an alcohol and/or drug dependency. -More evidence showing addiction is not a life-long disease.
Not Only Is Forced A.A. Harmful-It's Illegal
Since 1996 a growing number of people harmed by AA and their promotion of false beliefs are fighting back. So far there
have been 11 lawsuits brought against those forcing people into the 12-step religion & in every case the petitioner won.
The constitutional dividing line between church and state is so clear that a parole officer can be sued and/or the state
required to pay for damages. If you have been court-ordered to attend AA or as a stipulation of probation and was NOT
given informed consent & a choice in alternative treatments contact your attorney immediately. Get the word out today!
Petition a 1 & 2-Year Followups
Let's give addicts a real chance at a full recovery by petitioning a mandatory independent 1-year followup on all addicts
who completed court-ordered treatment and probation & a 2-year followup on all addicts subjected to residential
12-step (disease based) treatment. Start your addiction treatment petition drive within your community today!
Request for research
1-We are searching for a control group study comparing Alcoholics Anonymous to no treatment. All 31 controlled studies
conducted on A.A. have showed working the 12-step process is no more effective than no treatment and the majority of
them produced worst results for those attending A.A. If you know of a control group study proving A.A. is effective in
helping addicts please send it to us immediately.
2-We are searching for a control group study comparing diseased based treatment (A.A., inpatient, outpatient) to no
treatment. Our research has not confirmed treatment is any more effective than no treatment. If you know of a control
group study proving disease based treatment is effective in helping addicts compared to no treatment please send it
to us immediately.
3-We are searching for any scientific evidence proving addiction's a disease. According to addiction behavioral
research & good old common sense addiction is a choice & addicts make a choice each & everytime they use. If
you know of any scientific research that suggest how molecules give rise to volition please send it to us immediately.

To many times
To many times people die because of carelessness and acts of pure desperation. To many times people die without pride
in themselves and belief in a brighter tomorrow. To many times people die before finding true hope and a faith in God. To
many times people die because we withheld love and displaced our caring hearts. To many times people die because we
didn't take a stand and be a true friend. To many times we turned a blind eye and sought our needs first. To many times
we fell far short in giving of our friendship and kind affection. To many times we stood idol and simply failed to take action.
WE love you Aleena! You are forever in our prayers!

Disease concept proven false?
Before being mislead by the disease model of addiction we recommend you first read the articles on top of this page &
here. While we have received a few objections to the behavioral choice model of addiction, we have yet to receive any
creditable evidence supporting the disease model. People are entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts. We
encourage you to do the research, then, if you can, send us any scientific evidence proving addiction is or is caused
by a disease. Consider if teaching the failed disease model is helping addicts or if it's time for a new direction and time
to give addicts a real chance. Let's stop stealing what little hope addicts have by convincing them they're all diseased.
1-A predisposition to a disease is NOT a disease, especially when the disease in question doesn't exist.
2-Using drugs, intoxication, tolerance, withdrawal, and drug induced effects on the brain are NOT diseases.
3-To our knowledge there is no scientific research that suggests or supports the hypothesis that neurobiological
factors initiate volition, nor will there be.
Who profits the most when addicts are lead to believe they're diseased & will die without treatment? Countless addicts go to their grave believing they are dieing from a life-long incurable disease called alcoholism. How many more need to die before we wake up to the fact what diseased treatment is currently teaching addicts not only isn't helping them, it's killing them.
|
ATTENTION: Those promoting addiction's a disease are the same people using it as a convenient excuse when addicts
fail using their harmful programs. Through quick diagnosis, no biological tests, group peer pressure, treatment, abuse
of court systems, & using our federal & state taxpayers money, they are turning problem drinkers & casual users into
diseased alcoholics & addicts for their own personal profit. Please take a stand in your community and hold disease based
treatment providers accountable for teaching false beliefs proven to have long-term detrimental effects on people seeking
help with their addiction problems. Leading people to believe they have an unproven disease is wrong and causing far
more harm to those influenced by their failed disease based 12-step inpatient & outpatient addiction treatment programs.
-Searching for the victims of the disease concept? Just visit your local jail, emergency rooms, detox centers, AA/12-step
groups, and observe who's spending all our tax funded handouts (counseling, food stamps, prescription drugs, reduced
housing, S.S.I., title 19, treatment) being collected by those who believe they are victims of an incurable disease. It's time
to stop enabling addicts & time to put the responsibility back where it should be-on the person with the addiction problem.
Placing addiction in the same category as diabetes encourages addicts to avoid the necessary legal/moral consequences
(punishment) required to achieve lasting sobriety. A move that has cost taxpayers millions & countless addicts their lives.
"A successful recovery
program should be built
on these core beliefs"
